Ask what was tested.

Identify the sample, product or raw material, batch or lot, testing date, laboratory, method, result, units, and acceptance criteria. Without those anchors, it is difficult to connect a report to the item in hand.

Separate raw material from finished formula.

A raw-material identity or purity result does not by itself establish finished-product stability, preservation, skin delivery, or appearance performance. Those are separate questions requiring separate evidence.

Use the document at its actual scope.

A report for one batch is not automatically a result for every batch. A pass/fail statement is meaningful only alongside the test and criterion used. Transparent documentation makes these boundaries easier to see.
